we believe in the power of fruit to change the lives of
the poorest people in
the world.
all over the world, in rural areas in some of the poorest countries on earth, fruit farms
provide a source of income and hope for millions of families.
more than 50% of all the fruits we use in our froosh smoothies come from farms in tropical, developing countries.
we buy bananas from ecuador & costa rica.
mangos from
india & mexico.
pineapples from
the philippines &
the ivory coast.
coconuts from
indonesia & vietnam.
oranges from brazil.
we can't grow these fruits in europe because it's too cold.
you won't find a mango farm in denmark.
or a banana plantation in sweden.
so here's our belief:
if all of us buy more tropical fruits these fruit farms will expand, take on more workers and provide employment and income in the
parts of the world that need it most.
so why not put an extra mango in your shopping trolley this weekend?
or a pineapple.
or a couple of bottles of froosh.
it's a healthy and delicious way to provide employment and independence to rural communities in poor countries.

froosh is looking for volunteers to spend a week on a tropical farm. you'll spend a week under the hot sun picking mangos or planting trees, living with the farm community and telling their story in your own words on facebook, twitter
and videoblog.
